Description

Azalea japonica being part of the Rhododendron botanical genus has over 750 species.

With evergreen foliage and a spectacular colour range they always delight the eye.

Azalea japonica Johanna grows to a height and width of 60-70cm and some varieties of Azalea japonica can grow up to 100-120cm high as maturity.

They can be used in countless positions, including full sun borders and containers to shaded woodlands.

They require well drained acid soil, so without chalk and we would always recommend that they like all acid loving plants are planted with ericaceous compost.

Other varieties available include Blaauws Pink, Dorothy Hayden, Hino-Crimson, Konigstein, Littel Red & Maischnee.
