Prunus laurocerasus Rotundifolia – Cherry Laurel

Description

With its dark green round glossy leaves this popular hedge has been forming good solid garden boundaries around Europe for many years. 

Although the new varieties of Genolia & Novita have a more erect habit which is useful when you need a high hedge but do not have a good width to plant it in, with Rotundifolia it wins if you need to fill a wide or deep gap in your existing boundary as it becomes so much broader.

Suitable for all soil types and positions, although as with all plants its harder to establish in dry shade.

Ideal for creating hedges 2.50m to 4.0m high.
