Acer Palmatum Dissectum Virids

Description
These Japanese Maples from the Dissectum group are categorised as shrubs and come in many forms and can grow into small trees in time. Dissectum leaves are recognisable from straight Palmatum leaves as they are broader, more deeply cut and have a pendulous habit.
Despite the delicate leaves and thin branches, these are hardy plants and bring character to any garden.
This deciduous shrub grows slowly and can ultimately reach a height and spread of 3m over several decades. They require cool, light, moist but well drained soil. Must be in a semi shaded position to avoid leaf scorch on young plants and protected when in leaf from strong winds.
The variety Viridis has bright green leaves that turn yellow and crimson in the autumn.
