Dicksonia antartica

Description
Dicksonia antarctica also known as a Manfern or Tasmanian tree have expansive lush green fronds that unfurl each year. They are ideal in a sheltered garden, containers or even a cool conservatory and hardy in the Southern UK and will grow up to 3m high but bear in mind they only grow about 1cm a year.
They should be planted in well drained lime-free compost with added bark and firmed in well at the base. When planting a larger 120cm ( 4ft ) trunked tree fern please allow to place 30cm ( 1ft ) of trunk into the ground to ensure the plant is stable. Ideally position in partial shade.
Water regularly during the growing season, making sure you saturate the top of the crown and all the way down the trunk. During this time to encourage growth fertilise the crown with Tree Fern feed.
Protect from frost in winter. In Spring remove Winter protection and start feeding for new fronds to unfurl.
