Elaeagnus x ebbingei compacta

Description

This selection of Elaeagnus x ebbingei has closer branching, resulting in a more compact habit and more formative evergreen hedge. The evergreen leaves are dark silvery green on the upper side, with a dusty brown underside and the branches are slightly thorny.

Grows in almost all types of soil. Tolerates very wet winter soil along with maritime exposure.

Forms an excellent mid sized hedge 1m to 2m high. Prune to shape in mid-late summer.
