Fagus sylvatica – Beech Hedging

Description

The European Beech becomes a majestic deciduous tree with a mighty trunk, but equally has been making fantastic hedges of seasonal change in Great Britain for the last few hundred years.

The leaves are soft green and silky when they first appear in the spring and then dark green until the autumn before they turn to coppery orange, yellow and brown tones. The leaves remain attached through the winter even after they have dried up until the following springs leaves push them away.

Ideal for creating formative hedging at any height from 1m to 4m high.
