Picea pungens glauca globosa

Description

Part of the Spruce family this dwarf conifer is much sought after. With its spherical shape its stays compact and has magnificent silvery blue needles all year. Over time the plant will develop a slightly more broad conical shape and reach a width of 2m+ and a height of 1.5m+

Its prefers loose soil, tolerates heat and drought, and also ideal for the urban environment.

It makes an ideal plant for the rock garden combined with other different coloured dwarf conifers. As a freestanding specimen it looks great as it matures amongst lower flowering plants.

Also available in mini standard and half standard forms.
