Rhododendron Cunninghams White

Description

Rhododendron Cunninghams White is my favourite white variety of Rhododendron. Reliably, it puts on a fantastic show of flowers every year as the mauve buds open up into a full funnel shaped white flower with a hint of yellow in the centre.

This evergreen shrub will reach 140-160cm high and wide after 10 years and ultimately not reach much more than 2m high and wide and works well as a boundary shrub or to screen.

Cunninghams white prefers acid soil , but will tolerate a poor and neutral soil with a good annual dressing of ericaceous compost.

Best in full sun or semi-shade this plant will tolerate a more shaded position but the quantity of flower will be reduced.
