Rhododendron Mrs C. E. Pearson

Description
Vigorous, upright and full bodied Rhododendron Mrs Charles E. Pearson works well as a large border shrub and for boundary screening. With its mauve pink buds that opens into compact trusses of funnel-shaped light pink flowers that fade in the sunlight to a white flower with a hint of lavender there is a good reason why this variety has a RHS AGM ( Award of Merit ).
Ideally plant in dappled shade as even though it will tolerate full sun the flowers will fade quicker in the bright sunlight.
Plant in acidic to neutral soil and dress around the base of the plant annually with a good layer of ericaceous compost.
This variety will grow up and mature at 3-4m high and be 2.5m wide.
