Photinia x fraseri Red Robin

Description

Photinia has been growing incredibly popular in the last 10 years and is now in the top three hedging best sellers. Being a evergreen with vibrant ruby red leaves in spring, fast growth habit good regenerative qualities its easy to see why this has become one of the markets leaders.

From the end of spring into early summer the ruby red spring leaves turn green and at this point I would give the hedge a good trim, whereupon it will produce a second flush of red leaves, but not quite as vibrant as the first.

Plant in a full sun, sheltered position. If the soil is dry then add additional organic content.

Suitable for hedges 1.5m to 3.0m high.
